Steps in adding a pad to a bikini top

If you have a small bust and you think that your bikini top is not that attractive, then consider adding more shape to it by adding padding. By lining the inside of the top with padding, you can add from and fashion to it and accentuates your natural beauty without making it look unnatural or fake.

You will feel more comfortable coming out of the water when a brisk wind hits by adding a little padding to your bikini top since it provides an extra layer of insulation between the outside world and your bare chest.

Here are the steps in adding a pad to a bikini top.

1. Gather the things that you will need such as unpadded bikini top, fabric pencil, ¼ yard nude colored lycra fabric, sewing pins, fabric scissors, sewing needle or thread sewing machine, half cup sized swimsuit pads.

2. On a flat surface, lay the yard of nude-colored Lycra fabric. On top of the fabric, lay your unpadded bikini top.

3. Onto the fabric, trace the shape of the bikini’s with a fabric pencil. With the use of a fabric scissor, remove the bikini and cut the two shapes out of the Lycra fabric.

4. Place the half-cup size swimsuit pad designated to get wet into the center of each breast area of the bikini top. On top of the pads, place the lycra lining pieces.

5. Into the inside of the breast area on the bikini, line up the edges of Lycra lining cutout. With the use of sewing pins, pin the Lycra in place.

6. With a straight stich, sew the Lycra lining on a sewing machine with a nude-colored thread or use a sewing needle and thread to attach the lining fabric inside the bikini manually. As you sew, make sure to remove the pin.
